Delta's water supply - Oberon Dam, the Fish River supply - continued to fall and, by mid 2008, had reached an historic low. Mount Piper and Wallerawang Power Stations draw their water supplies from storages on the Coxs River and the Oberon Dam; but lately had begun to purchase water from Centennial coal mine pits and tunnels.
