(Full Article)On 20 August 2008 Sunshine Gas agreed to takeover value near $830 million; Queensland Gas Company aimed - in its offer to Sunshine to gain gas reserves to enable a Gladstoine LNG plant. It aimed for a 7,000 PJ of 2P reserves to trigger the BG Gladstone LNG plant. The QGC takeover had set out to get the Sunshine gas Lacerta CSG project near Roma (ATP 767P / 795P). The purpose of this bill was to repeal 83 acts in all, many relating to gas. A number of acts dealt with gas, including the Gas and Fuel Corporation Act.
