A QGC-takover of Sunshine would turn QGC into a big player in the National Electricity market. It had two gas baseload plants in development and planned more, it said.
(Full Article)On 20 August 2008 Sunshine Gas agreed to takeover value near $830 million; Queensland Gas Company aimed - in its offer to Sunshine to gain gas reserves to enable a Gladstoine LNG plant. It aimed for a 7,000 PJ of 2P reserves to trigger the BG Gladstone LNG plant. The QGC takeover had set out to get the Sunshine gas Lacerta CSG project near Roma (ATP 767P / 795P).
