Contract No. T18019 - Como Park South Yarra Sports Lighting and Associated Electrical Services Australian Rules
Tenders are invited for the construction of a new sportsfield floodlighting system comprising of 4No. 30m tall light poles with each light pole fitted with up to 6No. flood lights for the Como Park, located at 305 - 325 Williams Road South Yarra.
The works include the supply, installation, commissioning and testing of the Sports Lighting & Associated Electrical Services as well as subsequent maintenance during the Defects liability period, to a 100 Lux average maintained design standard to AS 2560.2.3 with capacity for 100 Lux design. The Electrical contractor shall be responsible for the provision of all manufactured items, materials, labour, cartage, tools, appliances and fixings necessary for the proper execution of the works.

The City of Greater Geelong is seeking tenders from experienced skylight fall protection contractors to supply and install skylight protection.
The key elements of Council's skylight fall protection are:
* Provide fall protection to buildings without current fall protection to existing skylights
* Improve safe roof access to Council buildings
* A key output is the prevention of falls through skylights on Council buildings
* Developing a cost-effective skylight fall protection management strategies for the long term
* Managing risks associated with asset failures
* Continuous improvement in asset management practices
Through the implementation of the skylight fall protection program, Council will be able to provide a safer work place.
Mandatory Criteria Working with Children Checks
* The Service Provider must ensure that all of the relevant Service Providers directors, office holders, employees, volunteers, servants and agents including sub - contractors involved in the subject matter of this Contract hold a valid working with children check as defined in the Working with Children Act 2005
* Must immediately notify Council if one of the relevant Service Providers directors, office-holders, employees, volunteers, servants and agents including subcontractors returns a negative notice or is reported under the reportable conduct scheme.
Mandatory Criteria Other
* The tenderer must have demonstrated experience within the last three (3) years in delivering similar Skylight Fall Protection works on Commercial Buildings and for Government organisations
* The tenderer must have demonstrated experience in temporary safe roof access
* The tenderer must have demonstrated experience in roof access and working at heights
Mandatory Criteria Attendance at Site Inspection
Please be advised that Council will conduct a mandatory site inspection. Prospective tenderers must attend this site inspection. Failure of a tenderer to attend will result in their tender being excluded as a non-conforming tender. Council representatives will be present to discuss details regarding the project and the tender process.

The service shall commence on a date to be confirmed.
Contractor expected to commence installation of skylight fall protection within one month of tender being awarded.
Council does not guarantee the volume of work and reserves the right to add and delete sites as it deems appropriate.
Contractors are required to tender for all items in T1800029 Pricing Schedule.
The term of the Contract for the provision of this service shall be for a period of two (2) years with a further one (1) year option available at the discretion of Council.
The Contract shall operate on a scheduled rates and quotation basis.
A fortnightly report is to be provided to the superintendents representative detailing works completed in the preceding two weeks and works to be undertaken over the following two weeks. The report is to be provided in a format which can be used to record work completed and must include photographs of competed work.
The successful tenderer will be expected to have a nominated person available to address building user enquiries directly arising from the implementation of the contract. The tenderer is required to provide details of the proposed customer service process and a structure along with a template for furnishing fortnightly reports
Occupational Health & Safety
The tender evaluation panel will consider the details of the tenderer's OH&S system provided in or in response to Schedule 7 of the documents attached.
Tenders which do not contain details of OH&S systems which meet the minimum required standards will not be considered for the contract.
