NSW RURAL FIRE SERVICE. EVACUATION AND RISK MODELLING PROJECT LITERATURE SEARCH - RFT ID RFS RFT 2017-007.
Closes 13 March 2017 at 5:30pm.
Tender Details: The brief is to investigate whether a tool has been developed which can be utilised in land use planning and operations to provide a risk assessment for evacuation planning in various emergency bush fire scenarios. The tool would need to be able to be used to calculate the level of existing risk within a community and the level of projected risk as a result of new development. It will also be used to compare against acceptable risk benchmarks for planning purposes for development in bush fire prone areas.
If a tool such as this has been developed, identify:
· who owns the tool;
· the capabilities of the tool;
· whether the tool is appropriate for the needs of the NSW RFS;
· whether the NSW RFS can get access to the tool;
· whether the NSW RFS can utilise the tool.
If a tool has not yet been developed, identify the following:
· whether any early work has been carried out by other agencies in developing such a tool;
· whether there are reasons why this work has not progressed to full development of a tool;
· whether any similar tools have been developed, e.g. for other emergencies such as flood, earthquake etc.

Council has an annual budget of approximately $73 Million, which it uses for the provision of a wide range of community infrastructure and services.
Council builds and maintains roads, sewer and water facilities, storm water drainage systems, parks and playgrounds, community buildings such as libraries, child care centres, art gallery, theatre, community centres, depots and administration centres.
To assist with its program of works, Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified contractors for inclusion on a panel of Contractors for various trade categories up to $149,999 (GST incl).
Occasionally, works of a specialised or specific nature will be required and in such cases, Council reserves the right to source such suppliers, outside of the Prequalified Contractors Register.
Where works involve expenditure over $149,999 (incl GST) separate open tenders will be advertised.
The term for this contract is three (3) Years.
NOTE: Existing contracts with Council will continue until they expire, however, such contractors should still apply for Prequalification.

Tender: RFT 58/16-A - Flood Damage Repair (Panel), New South Wales, closes 22/03/2017 12:00 p.m. NSW ...

ABOUT THE TENDER:

The objective of this Tender process is to expand the current contractor pool established under the original Tender process RFT 58/16 to aid Council in the delivery of flood damage repair outcomes.

Expansion of the existing contractor pool is being carried out in accordance with Section B Clause 1 of the RFT.

Existing contractors do not need to respond to this RFT process, however are invited to attend the Tender briefing session (refer RFT Section B Clause 10 for details) to be updated regarding future works to be carried out under the panel arrangement.


ABOUT BEGA VALLEY SHIRE COUNCIL:

Council area extends from Bermagui in the north to the Victorian border in the south and includes the towns of Bega, Tathra, Merimbula, Tura Beach, Wolumla, Cobargo, Bemboka, Pambula, Pambula Beach, Towamba and the former whaling port of Eden. The Bega Valley Shire is also known as the Sapphire Coast for tourism and marketing purposes.
