The Adelaide PHN has issued a Request for Tender (RFT) requesting eligible service providers to apply to operate the Lived Experience Telephone Support Service (LETSS).
The LETSS is a peer-led telephone service where people with mental health issues and their carers can receive real-time information, navigation and support in the social afterhours period.
A component of the Adelaide PHN After Hours Primary Mental Health Service strategy, the LETSS will assist in the reduction of inappropriate attendances at emergency departments and be proactive in the de-escalation of mental health distress, as well as assist with access to mainstream in-hours mental health services and other services as required.
Adelaide PHN is one of 31 independent organisations nation-wide that are funded by the Australian Government to coordinate and improve primary health care services in their local areas. The Australian Government's objectives for PHNs are that they will:
1. Increase the efficiency and effectiveness of health services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes; and
2. Improve coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.
Adelaide PHN reaches from Sellicks Hill to Angle Vale and from the foothills to the sea. It encompasses a community of some 1.2 million people.
Adelaide PHN aims to improve health outcomes for the community by commissioning services to address local needs. Adelaide PHN is guided by community, clinical and stakeholder input.

The RFT will be open for approximately four weeks.

ABOUT LIVERPOOL: Liverpool is a suburb of South West Sydney, 32 kilometres from the Sydney Central Business District. West Coast Council invites Expressions of Interests from specialist consultants to complete a study to determine the feasibility of the Strahan Airport as a potential visitor and freight gateway for the region, including what upgrades and investment will be needed to secure a true regional facility that can support and help to drive growth in the future.
With a funding contribution and support from the State Government, RACT Strahan Village and other key stakeholders, the successful consultant will be overseen by a project management team consisting of representatives from the West Coast Council.
The adopted study will guide Council and community regarding infrastructure improvements and potential business opportunities associated with airport operations.

West Coast Council invites Expressions of Interests from specialist consultants to complete a review of the current Sport and Recreation Plan to ensure that the region continues to offer the recreational and sporting opportunities and facilities that its community and visitors seek.
The review will guide Council in future sport and recreation planning, including infrastructure improvements and resource sharing possibilities, which will allow for continuous improvement in the delivery of quality sport and recreation opportunities for the communities of the West Coast as well as visitors.
