NORTHERN BEACHES COUNCIL TENDER RFT 2018/221 - Commercial feasibility of providing reticulated water and wastewater services for Scotland Island
ABOUT THE COUNCIL:

SERVICE REQUIRED:
Northern Beaches Council (Council) invites tenders for the provision of a commercial feasibility assessment for the provision of reticulated water and wastewater services for Scotland Island. The scope of the tender includes a high-level REF and concept design, a commercial feasibility study, and identification of funding sources and possible operational models. The study will not include detailed design or construction of any scheme or facilities. Details of the scope are below:
SEPARABLE PORTION 'A' - Option 1
- Inception meeting and site visit
- Project management plan (including communications plan)
- Stage 1 report - high-level review of social and environmental factors (updating existing studies) pertinent to commercial feasibility
- Stage 2 report - demand and options assessment to include water demand and wastewater generation forecast, technical engineering solution to providing water/wastewater services (maximum two options).
SEPARABLE PORTION 'B' - Option 2
- Inception meeting and site visit
- Project management plan (including communications plan)
- Stage 3 report - Commercial feasibility study and consideration of other issues to include a risk assessment, community and stakeholder consultation, commercial feasibility assessment.
COMBINED CONTRACT SCOPE OF SEPARABLE PORTIONS 'A' and 'B' - Option 3
- All scope items listed in Separable Portion 'A' and Separable Portion 'B' above as a single continuous contract. One inception meeting and site visit, one project management plan.
- Final report comprising Stage 1-3 reports and final recommendations.
The Contract term will be two years. The expected start date is September 2018.
It is Council's intention to award a combined contract to include both Separable Portions 'A' and 'B' (Option 3 above). However Council at its sole discretion, may decide to award a contract for either: only Separable Portion 'A' (Option 1); or only Separable Portion 'B' (Option 2).

TENDER BRIEFING:
A tender briefing will be held on 27 August 2018 at the Cromer Administration Building, 55 Middleton Road, Cromer, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Tenderers should ensure they review the tender documents and understand the scope of work before attending the briefing. (See Part A5 - Conditions of Tender for details).
CLOSING DATE AND TIME:
Tenders close at 2pm on 11th September 2018 and must be fully received by this time.
LODGEMENT:

The City of Sydney invites Tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the Cutler Footway Renewal and Burton St Viaduct Rehabilitation Project. The objective of the project is to restore the Cutler Footway allowing pedestrian access between Woollahra Municipal Council Local Government Area and the City of Sydney Local Government Area.
The tenderer will be required to provide Design and Construct services to renew the Cutler Footway and to undertake rehabilitation works to the existing Burton Street Viaduct. The Project involves upgrading the existing road pavement, installation of safety barriers and remediating the viaduct structure to comply with current relevant standards, where practicable.
Tenderers are required to demonstrate their capacity, financial and technical capability for completing the project within the required timeframe, have had previous experience on similar sized projects and demonstrate a commitment to WHS and environmentally sound principles.

Description: Ballarat Health Services seeks expression of interest from suitably qualified security contractors for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and 12 months operational support and maintenance of a Mobile Duress Alarm System. The system will initially be implemented within the Mental Health Adult Acute Unit with a view to progressively implement the system throughout the wider organisation.
Ballarat Health Services Mental Health Adult Acute Unit is a 23 bed unit that provides short term inpatient management and treatment during an acute phase of mental illness. Clients remain in the Adult Acute Unit until they have recovered to the point where they can be treated effectively and safely within the community.
The Adult Inpatient Unit experience around 480 incidents of Violence and Aggression in any given year. Over the past 2 years there have been significant incidents resulting in severe assaults and traumatic events, which have been witnessed by both staff and patients.
The Mobile Duress Alarm System will include:
· the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a suitable Mobile Duress Alarm System and its integration as a functional element into the existing Security Management system,
· the training, of BHS personnel in the operation and use of system hardware and software,
· the operational support, performance monitoring, fault response and system maintenance through the 12 month contractual Defects Liability Period, and
· the provision of additional operational support, performance monitoring, fault response and system maintenance for an optional 3 year service term - at the discretion of BHS.
