Tender: C1974 - RFT Activity Centre Planning Framework, Victoria, closes 13/06/2018 12:00 p.m. NSW ...

Wyndham is experiencing a period of great opportunity and transformation. Our municipality is one of the largest and fastest growing in Victoria and our community, numbering about 240,000 is diverse, colourful and vibrant.
Within our boarders we support large industrial and technology districts, major retail precincts, intensive vegetable growing areas and grazing lands, key tourism and open space attractions such as the Werribee Park Mansion and Victoria's Open Range Zoo, and continually expanding new residential areas.
Being a growth municipality, we are passionate about meeting the rapidly expanding and changing needs of the community. We do this by living and breathing our community first vision, Our Wyndham: Towards 2040.
Wyndham City Council is seeking suitably qualified experienced and qualified consultants to deliver professional services, to develop a planning framework for Wyndham's activity centres which delivers on Council's 2017/18 Integrated Plan and Budget initiative.
This key project aims to develop a policy framework that considers land use, economic, financial, urban design, car parking, community facility and utility servicing requirements for Activity Centres that will deliver Places for People consistent with the Wyndham 2040 Vision and as a critical element of the Long-Term Planning Framework for Wyndham.
Wyndham's activity centres are potentially key drivers in growing the local economy, generating employment opportunities, providing a range of commercial, community and recreational services, creating an identity through built form and strengthening local communities.
A consultant (or consultants) is required to develop the Activity Centres Planning Framework which clearly articulates the key role Wyndham's network of activity centres can play in addressing the key drivers. Consultants will need to be practice leaders in developing policy in urban economics, strategic planning, urban design and urban infrastructure.
